Eleanor is 38 weeks old today!
Lil E is still not crawling, although she is starting to pull up on the furniture and really loves to stand.
We’ve finally started seriously baby proofing, after putting it off over and over again. Last weekend we spent all day Sunday rearranging our living room furniture into every single configuration we could think of in an attempt to reinvent the space and make it more baby friendly, and ended up just moving it back the way it was originally. It’s the only way it works, and at least now we really know that. We converted our large doorless closet at the end of the hallway into a music storage room. We bought a rack that holds 7 guitars to get our instruments together and out of the way. We put everything, including Andrew’s upright bass, in the closet, except for our pretty orange Danelectro electric guitar and my beloved banjo, which we hung on the wall. Soon I need to order some outlet protectors and a gate.
On Wednesday my dad was in town for business and we ended up spending the entire day with him. It was really nice. Eleanor seemed to remember her Grandpa and was a complete doll to him all day. It was hard to say goodbye, but the next day I bought tickets for us to go back to Phone in two weeks for my nephew’s first birthday.
