Out of Sorts
Since we got home from Phoenix, Eleanor has been really fussy. She hasn’t been this fussy since she was a newborn. She normally doesn’t fuss at all, but for the last two days if she isn’t nursing or sleeping (which she is doing a lot of) she is crying. Not just whining, but screaming with tears and everything. She isn’t interested in playing or crawling, needs me to hold...

I just can't ...
Having returned from my nephew’s first birthday celebration, it’s made me realize how close Eleanor’s birthday really is. I mentioned a lot that we would be back in May for her party, and everyone remarked how that was right around the corner. I know I need to start planning. I need to look for decorations and think about food and invitations. I need to find a special party dress...

And We're Mobile
Yesterday Eleanor started seriously crawling. She went straight for the bookshelf and started pulling things off, then crawled across the living room to me where I was wrapping a birthday present. She is still a little cautious about it, like she isn’t totally sure of herself, and is mostly just cruising small distances to get to new toys and/or choking hazards. Regardless, I’m really...

SAHM Guilt
Lately I’ve been feeling really guilty about being a stay at home mom. My husband works so hard and he never gets a break, while I laze around the house, play on the floor, hang out with friends, and read books while our daughter takes her three hour nap every afternoon.  When we started talking about having children and me staying home with them, I sort of assumed it would feel like more...
